Herbs, fruits and vegatables for a Healthy Autumn

Holidays are over, and fall for many for many is a sign of paperwork, miscellaneous payments (patents, registrations, etc.). And above all, the end of summer means the end of relaxation and the beginning of our routine life. This situation worsens if the summer relaxation meant letting ourselves go as far as diet, drink more alcohol  are concerned. Well, think positive! There are always recipes to help us improve our post-holiday stress, which can be combined with physical activity, but above all, to quickly detoxify our body that diet and loose our summer beer gut!

We recommend your diet include essential herbs for detoxifying the body, and plenty of fruits and  vegetables should be part of our daily diet. Detoxifying our blood gives us a world of benefits,  and will charge us up and leave us ready to face the challenges of the coming months.

One herb I´m a big fan of is oregano, which is an old kitchen standby. To use as part of an herbal detox: Prepare two to three grams of Oregano in a liter of boiled water, as if tea for one liter. We drink a cup every night after dinner and relax us detoxify during sleep.

Another herb with powerful detoxifying properties that is enhanced by taking it as a blend with  Nettles, is  Calendula. Drink an the infusion of the flowers, one teaspoon of flowers per cup of boiled water.
